The day started brightly enough with a trip round Southampton and a coffee and the papers then a couple in the Standing Order

The day ended badly with an equalizer at 90+1 and a defeat by 90+5 and then a miserable trip back to Romsey in the rain with a bus replacement service

Went on a Saints FC tour round the UK with our kid because of the train strike and it took forever. Train from Northfield to Birmingham New Street. Met him there. Train from Birmingham to Preston. Bus from Preston to Blackburn. Train from Blackburn to Burnley Central. Walk to the cricket found next to the soccer stadium

England Day 2 - Friday 1st February 2019 - Birmingham

Okay so cracking straight on with the job in hand I went to visit a care home close to where Tony lives and they have a vacancy and I was impressed with it. Similar feel to dad's current place with onsite activities and an activity co-ordinator, fairly new build, ensuite shower/toilet with each room and glad to say, much cheaper than where he is now......
