England - Day 97
Suddenly dawned that there is almost no time to work on the house before we leave for a week or more, and when we come back there from Cornwall - Birmingham - Download there is literally only two full days. Have been advised to make the house a bit more presentable and so Rich has agreed to help out with sourcing a hall carpet and a carpet fitter. Plan to dump stuff from the shed tomorrow and take stuff to Big Yellow Storage (puh ortsmouth) to create more space in the house

Big day yesterday. Cancelled my Chinese online lessons w/e from next Monday. Should give more time to sort things out. Last night Helen arrived on the plane from Newcastle for the weekend to spend time with me and to see dad and to meet YingYing

England - Day 77
Busy day. Came over from Ibis Budget early in the morning to get a slow-cooker dinner on the go. Andy coming tonight. Then went with Nic to Puh-Ortsmouth to take dad's stuff to the Big Yellow Storage there. Teaching in the afternoon. Then pre-prandials outside as it was such a beautiful evening. After Andy left we rushed to the train station and just managed to catch the 2220 back into Southampton Central. 100m. from there to Ibis Budget, cheap and cheerful but very conveniently situated

England - Day 72
Oh no! Heartbreak in The Spitfire pub in Southampton as Saints yet again draw (or lose!) from a winning position. Now out of the relegation area on goal difference with two games to go. Must beat Swansea on Tuesday if we stand any chance of avoiding the drop. YingYing and I are leaving on Monday afternoon for Swansea, coming back on Tuesday
England - Day 71
My sister, Nicola arrived this morning with her husband Pascal and a big van and a trailer so she can take furniture back to France which is very good news indeed. Even better news is that Pascal was able to make a start on decorating the upstairs of the house. It is going to definitely look a bit fab when he has finished as at the moment it looks a bit grubby. Hasn't been decorated since mum and dad moved in in 2009
England - Day 70
Still teaching on-line and must keep going with it because it is very good experience. Also learning a lot about English grammar as I prep for teaching it half-hour later. If you had asked me last week what a countable noun is I would not have been able to differentiate it for you from a non-countable noun.......
