China - Day 422

Harbin was occupied by the Japanese from about 1932 up to the end of WWII and there is also been a massive impact because of it's proximity to Russia - trade links - the Russians built a railway link for themselves through China so they could trade by sea from ports that weren't frozen for half the year - hence the church - built 1907 - at one time there were around 200,000 Russians living in Harbin

On Tuesday YingYing and I had a hot pot with her mother and father......

Then we visited the horror of Unit 731 where we hooked up with Joel again.

YingYing will stay in Harbin because Ancestors Day is later this week. Joel and I took the train back to Jinzhou. Work tomorrow boo
